This highly acclaimed powerful and heartfelt music documentary about the great alto saxophonist Frank Morgan is set against the backdrop of a 2012 jazz concert at San Quentin where Morgan spent the better part of 30 years as an inmate and member of the Warden's Jazz Band. Ed Reed, who appears in the film along with many other of Morgan's friends, colleagues and family members, was a friend of Morgan and also sang in the Warden's Jazz Band.
